Project Description
Global Emergency Response Fund
To ensure that we are ready to help immediately, the Global Emergency Response Fund is an active emergency fund designated for relief and humanitarian aid for both natural and made-made disasters such as earthquakes, floods, droughts, and war.
This fund is used for the various stages of immediate relief, rehabilitation, recovery, and reconstruction. The priority for implementing relief programming is to resource and partner with local believers, a national church, when possible, or a local Christian relief agency.
Special Designations:
Earthquake in Morocco - A magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit Morocco on September 9th, 2023. Donations to the Global Emergency Relief Fund are helping provide shelters and sanitation in the hard-hit areas around Marrakech.
Middle East Conflict - As the crisis in Israel and Gaza unfolds, The Alliance Canada has been monitoring this complex situation while searching for ways to aid those in need. As we wait and seek the Lord’s guidance for opportunities to come alongside the suffering, will you join us in praying that Jesus would bind up the brokenhearted on both sides and bring lasting peace to the Middle East.
Ukraine - As this protracted war continues, our Polish partner churches are regularly taking convoys of food and supplies into Ukraine. Once there, they connect with local Ukrainian churches who are reaching out to their communities.
