Current Priorities
As we begin our pastoral ministry in Dakar, to fulfill the vision that has been described above, we will be giving ourselves to the ministry of prayer, the Word, and spiritual direction. In doing so, we will be encouraging and empowering God’s people in Dakar to reach those who do not know Christ—especially international workers as they give themselves to reaching least-reached people groups, line the Fulani and Wolof, in Senegal.
Vision
We long for God’s people to experience ever-increasing intimacy with Christ. We desire to see a profound transformation through Spirit-led ministry in which God brings others into the fullness of Christ and His Kingdom.
Bio
Growing up in Christian homes, we both came to Christ early in life. At different points, we sensed God directing each of us into vocational ministry. A call to serve cross-culturally was confirmed during our years at Bible College. After a church-planting ministry in Canada we went to Guinea, West Africa in 1992 along with our 4 children, to work among the Maninka people. After 11 years, we returned to Canada and served in two churches. In 2010 we moved to Fez, Morocco to pastor an international church. Our 8 years there proved to be a significant period of spiritual renewal, stirring within us a greater passion to know Jesus deeply and help others do so. In 2018, we returned once again to Canada to pastor an English congregation in a Chinese Church, but in early 2021, we sensed God calling us to return to Africa, this time to pastor the International Church in Dakar, Senegal.
