Muskowekwan Fellowship

Amount: ($)

Muskowekwan Fellowship has emerged as a new venture in connection with Good News Chapel (in Regina, SK), as well as Valley Alliance, and the Midwest District of The Alliance Canada. Additional supporting partners include, Yorkton Alliance Church, Neuanlage Grace Mennonite, Touchwood Hills Community Church, and Northern Canada Evangelical Mission. Currently under leadership supported by Good News Chapel, this new venture is praying for a leader within the community to be trained and appointed to take on the continued shepherding of the ministry.

The vision for this new venture is Christ's healing for Muskowekwan's heart - to build a vibrant, Christ-centered community on Muskowekwan First Nation through biblical teaching, Holy Spirit-led spiritual growth, strong family relationships, and Christ-like compassion, reflecting God's love and grace.

On top of their bi-weekly worship gatherings and Sunday school program, they offer further community supports such as a substance abuse recovery group, youth outreach, as well as other community supports through food and clothing drives.

Matthew 17:20 (ESV) ...For truly, I saw to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."

Prayer Requests

Healing for Muskowekwan's Heart: Pray for Christ's healing to transform Muskowekwan First Nation, where many struggle with addiction and suicide. Community members have noted a reduction in drug use and violence since our church services began, yet the challenges remain profound; we regularly see people under the influence. Pray for God's power and wisdom to equip us with practical ways to reach out with compassion and effectiveness. Indigenous Leadership: Pray for God to raise up an Indigenous pastor for our New Venture. Currently, our team travels from Regina and Fort Qu'Appelle every second and fourth Saturday. Our goal is to have an Indigenous pastor, rooted in or near Muskowekwan, to lead with cultural understanding and biblical maturity. Catalyst for New Churches: Pray that the Muskowekwan Fellowship Church Plant will spark the growth of many new churches across other reserves, spreading true hope through Jesus Christ and fostering vibrant, compassionate communities grounded in faith. People to Come to Christ: Above all, pray that people will come to know Jesus Christ. Pray for His transformative power to change lives and families from the inside out, bringing lasting hope and renewal.
