Youth & Young Adults Associate Pastor - Beulah Alliance Church SW Campus

This position is responsible to minister to the congregation through the development of leaders and systems that support successful execution of youth and young adult ministry at Southwest Campus. This position is primarily responsible for the implementation and execution of youth and young adult ministry at Southwest Campus but also aids in overall ministry development on the global youth and young adult teams.

Position Type: Permanent, 40hrs/wk 

Location: Beulah Alliance Church - Southwest Campus, 5055 Chapelle Rd SW, Edmonton, AB 

In this role you will:

Youth and Young Adult Ministry Responsibilities (90%)

  • Plan and execute youth & young adult ministry with teams of students and adult volunteers.
  • Promote and communicate events to youth, young adults, families, and leaders.
  • Create an integration plan for new youth & young adults who attend events into deeper community.
  • Attend and engage in weekly ministry meetings.
  • Provide resources, spiritual leadership, visional direction, coaching and support for leaders.
  • Report progress of programming and objectives laid out by the seasonal ministry plans.
  • Support leadership of weekend and midweek ministries as directed by the ministry team leads.
  • Recruit, train and mobilize leaders and volunteers.
  • Engage students and leaders through social media platforms.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to young adult communities.
  • Lead and coordinate young adult worship gatherings.
  • Implement and maintain ministry 'best practices'.
  • Help create and manage budgets for areas of direct responsibility.
  • Develop a healthy relationship with other departments through occasional shared projects.

General Pastoral Responsibilities (10%)

  • Serve as a visible presence at weekend services.
  • As a spiritual leader responsible for providing pastoral care administered to the congregation by performing weddings, baptisms, and funerals, and administering sacraments as necessary.

What you will need to thrive in this role:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field of employment.
  • Excellent computer skills especially in the area of social media communication.
  • Fully devoted follower of Christ aligned with Beulah’s vision and values.
  • Passion to see youth growing in their relationship with Christ coming to love, know and serve Jesus.
  • Relational and able to coach and mentor leaders in an Ephesians 4:12 ministry environment.
  • Proven track record of recruiting, equipping, mobilizing, and coaching volunteers.
  • Able to lead ministry through leaders and can lead groups of students and adult volunteers.
  • Able to develop and implement projects and manage people.
  • Team player and builder who can work in a multi-staff setting, and work independently.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and accepting of change.
