Lead Pastor Ministry Opportunity

We are in search of a man led by God to serve as the Lead Pastor at Provost Community Church (PCC). Our church is a part of the Western Canadian District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. We are located in the town of Provost which is 3 hours SE of Edmonton on Highway 13, close to the Saskatchewan border. It is a prosperous community with more than the usual amenities for a town of just under 2,000 people. The amenities include both Catholic and Public schools, a hospital, 5 doctors, 2 dentists and numerous businesses.

The usual Sunday morning attendance at PCC is between 45 and 65 people of all ages with a strong children’s ministry and a great youth group. Our church has a strong relationship component to its ministry and we are looking for that to continue and to grow.

PCC has been involved in a transitional process since November 2022. This process has involved surveys, formal and informal discussions, congregational meetings and much prayer asking the Spirit to guide us.

Here is our heart: Our desire is to hire a Lead Pastor who will love us and the people of our community whom we can love and support in return. We are looking for a shepherd leader who is willing to grow along with us under the Holy Spirit’s leadership. He will not only have strong support from the church but from the District Office Staff as well as an intentional cohort of other pastors. He will not be joining just one church but a family of churches who are collaboratively seeking to follow Jesus' Great Commission by making disciples who make disciples.
