Tyler Pike

As a Discerning Individual, Tyler began his journey in partnership with theXchange new venture based in Owen Sound, ON. Tyler met regularly for one-on-one mentoring and spent time joining with Jesus to take a closer look at the following questions, Who is God calling me to be? Where and to whom? and What is God asking me to do? As he approached this season of discernment Tyler reflected, "The goal for this season is to discern God's will and to discover who I am, where I am called to go, and who I am called to serve." Tyler also shared, "The sense of joy, purpose, and fulfillment I experience when I operate in ministry positions (especially preaching) is beyond comparison."

As an outcome of this initial season of discernment Tyler experienced clarity of direction, and has recently moved to Sudbury, ON with his family. In addition to becoming the assistant pastor at Bancroft Drive Community Church, Tyler will also be continuing to explore new venture opportunities in the city and region. Tyler has been walking this journey under the guidance of Greg Musselman (New Ventures Implementer - Grey-Bruce Region, and Executive Pastor at Owen Sound Alliance Church), and shared the following reflection, "New Ventures has been an incredible blessing in my life. "Being invited to a retreat called Pursue Clarity felt like a revelation in itself. It is as if someone gave language to the place I was at in my walk with the Lord, and then invited me to further explore that place."

As Tyler enters this next season of discernment in Sudbury, he is supported in partnership with Bancroft Drive Alliance Church and the Central District of The Alliance.

Prayer Requests

You are invited to join with Tyler through praying for the following items: 1. We have a young and growing family. Our daughter is 18 months old, and we have a newborn as well. Please pray that I would love my wife well in this season and always. 2. Pray for grace and wisdom in our home - that we would sense the help and support of the Lord as we endure the many new challenges of parenthood. 3. Pray that we would have sensitivity to the voice and to the moving of the Holy Spirit. I do not want to rush, strive, or be too distracted to listen and look for God's leading. 4. Pray that I would have an increasing desire to love, serve, and help people. 5. Pray that I would have confidence and clarity in who I am, and what God is calling me to do.
