Captivated by a call from Jesus to partner in building a new and innovative expression of the body of Christ, Jordan Abbott joined Capstone Church in Calgary as a church planting apprentice in 2019. Now, in September 2021, Jordan and his family, as well as an excited core team, are launching out with a new venture called Capstone East, a congregation of Capstone. They are on mission to show and share the kindness and grace of Jesus, to bless the city, dress the poor and start other churches that do the same, all for the glory of God. Jordan will serve this congregation in a bivocational role.
Itself a church plant, Capstone has had a focused vision of church planting throughout Calgary, and Capstone East represents another step toward that vision. This new venture represents a partnership between Capstone Church, Horizon Church, The Exchange, Westlife Church, and Stettler Alliance Church.
